Blissful Inspiration

My mother decorated in the 80s & 90s with brass, and I think for that reason I have been completely afraid to decorate with gold. But since opening Sharing Bliss and seeing how brass & gold accents are coming back in a big way, I am falling in love with gold again. Here's an example from Apartment Therapy that I am completely smitten over:

The image below is a room with a similar floor plan to my own bedroom, with the two windows~which have been a real problem for me when it comes to the design of the room. I like what they've done here though. I think the windows completely work~even make this room more architecturally appealing.
